Double Sounds Dominoes is a simple, easy-to-play game designed to build basic phonemic awareness of double sounds, also known as digraphs'. A digraph occurs when two letters come together to make one sound. Some double sounds are spelled the same but sound different, like oo (as in moon) and oo (as in book). However, some double sounds sound the same but are spelled differently, like ey (as in monkey) and ee (as in bee).
